This season's lip makeup ranges from rich, confident reds for a feminine, self-assured statement to ultra-glossy pink-beige hues for a refined, naturally elegant effect.

When it comes to trends, one look stands out above all: Stained Glass Lips. These luminous effects are created through semi-transparent colours and layered applications, drawing inspiration from stained glass windows and transforming the lips into a multidimensional surface that catches and reflects the light. To recreate the look, makeup artists recommend playing with transparency, gradients and overlapping layers of colour, achieving a radiant, faceted effect that shifts with the light and celebrates a highly expressive, customisable approach to beauty.

And the market is certainly paying attention. Valued at $2.1 billion in 2025, the transfer-proof lip stain market is projected to reach $3.4 billion by 2034, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.8%. Alongside multifunctional products that combine long-lasting colour with hydration, nourishment and targeted lip care benefits, demand for lip stains and glosses that "stay flawless without compromising shine" is soaring, fuelled by the influence of globally followed content creators.

The return of gloss had already become evident last Spring/Summer, with shades and finishes inspired by the 1990s and early 2000s. While last season drew heavily on the spirit of the ’90s, from grunge-inspired styles to understated nude looks, more intense hues also emerged in contrast to those neutral palettes.
